I'm actually a superhero!
Not only can I drop into schools and make kids laugh, but I speak two languages.
Did you know that being bilingual is a super power?
You get to talk to twice as many people.
And read twice as many books!
You get to choose whether to call it a lemon or limón.
Because my dad did not teach me Spanish when I was little and I had to learn later in life, I love to reach kids at a young age and convince them to get curious about languages early.
I’ll be touring the USA in September 2026 with my brand new book Mi Escuela Is My School. Contact me, and I’ll try to come visit your school!

A curated author visit
If I'm coming all the way to your school or library, I might as well spend the whole day there. We can work together to plan how you'd best use my time, but I am happy to plan large assemblies where we explore language through poetry and song, private writing classes in classrooms, Q&A sessions, or even after-school creative writing sessions with the teachers or librarians.

"We absolutely loved having Laurenne come to talk to the whole school. She was energizing and funny. The kids loved it, and we can't wait to have her back again. "
