I started my career writing TV commercials about burgers and cars. I wanted to make people laugh. I didn't realize I could also make so many people cry. In 2016, one of my commercials went bonkers viral for making moms everywhere tear up. It was then I was able to convert that commercial script into my first children’s book, You Made Me a Mother. Since being suddenly thrust into the picture book world, I set to learn everything about it. I studied at every SCBWI conference I could. I got a wonderful, badass agent (Kelly Sonnack), and I continued to write. I released You Made Me A Dad a few years later and then moved into writing a bilingual picture book series, and other character-driven books (2 more out in 2027). I have so much more in the works that I can't wait to show you!

An Altar for Abuelo
Grief is a topic that I believe we should talk about more openly. That's what the family in this book decides to do. They celebrate Abuelo's birthday even though he's not there to play his guitar and give his warm hugs this year.
