"A well-researched and surprisingly poignant commentary on the dangers of technology." -Kirkus
From 2010 to 2021, I hosted and produced a stage show called Taboo Tales in Hollywood, CA. I helped all kinds of people write their stories and tell them on the stage in front of 100 people. Every few months for over ten years, I whipped stories into shape so that they would be riveting for the audience. I learned how to form an arc, master an ending, and when to make a joke about something serious. Most of all, I learned how to ask important questions and find the story someone might be holding onto. In 2024, I was asked to take those skills and ghostwrite a non-fiction book about the founder of an AI company and his creation of an alternative economy. The Story Economy was released in 2025 to great reviews! A mix of research and his personal story, ghostwriting a book about something I knew absolutely nothing about taught me that I could write anything and really find the voice of the main character.
I've since begun another riveting ghostwriting project about relationships and addiction, blending research and personal story again. I've now started a wait list, and I'd love for you to be next.
I have published with Harper Collins, Penguin Random House, Candlewick, Radius, and directly on Amazon. Once your book is written, I can also guide you through the experience of getting it published. Please reach out and let me know how you’d like us to work together.

I went from not understanding anything about AI to writing about it as if I were the founder of an AI company! Kirkus, who doesn't often say nice things said this: As the former director of the Engineering and Applied Sciences Department at the RAND Corporation and the current CEO of Lotic.ai, Welser is far from a Luddite, and his insider’s perspective amplifies his dire warnings about unregulated Big Tech. The book’s engaging graphs and other visual aids accompany accessible text.
